Дан броја пи

Број пи представља однос обима и пречника круга. Од давнина људи су били задивљени тајанственошћу броја пи и покушавали да га докуче. Коришћене су разне апроксимације, некада је то било 22/7, па су онда откриване нове и нове децимале. Број пи је ирационалан, чак трансцендентан. Ипак, обично га данас заокружујемо на 3,14. Из тог разлога 14. март се свугде у свету слави као дан броја пи (трећи месец и 14. дан).

Ове године се по први пут ово слави и у нашој земљи. У суботу 14. марта 2009. у просторијама Дома омладине биће на прикладан начин обележен дан броја пи. Сви су позвани, улаз је слободан. Добродошли!
